Softening the Sword’s Edge:

As long as you are trying to choose between two strongly held points of view you will sharpen the edge between them. The pressure to decide is a double edged sword. It hurts everyone it touches. Step away from the pressure and the urgency. Be patient with yourself and others. Take the sword of division and love it. until its edge softens and it can no longer do harm. Then you can decide. Because then you will rest in the heart-space where all needs are considered and everyone is enfolded in your love. ~ Everyday Wisdom by Paul Ferrini

1. Peace is found within oneself because of a choice made regardless of outside circumstances. Thanks Fred

2. There is a place in US that truly never stops shining. Beautiful people shine on the inside. Look for the beauty in everything you encounter today, remember this acceptance to one self is a path to true beauty on the inside. Be an example today of the beautiful person you truly ARE. We can go out into the world and Shine no matter what our circumstance are.

3. Your life IS your spiritual path: Don’t be quick to abandon it for promises of bigger and better experiences. You are getting exactly the experiences that you need to grow. Your growth and transformation intensify when you fully embrace the situations and relationships at hand. ~  Paul Ferrini

4. Impatience in all our Relationships: When either of US are impatient, we do our best to remember that we really are fearful and hence in a hurry. We are learning that our real home is Love, which is a reality where there is NO HURRYING. When we are in the reality of Love, we are not fearful and we are not anxious. For example, if someone is going to slow on the highway and we have an important appointment, we decide to tell ourselves that the driver in front of us is just giving us a lesson in patience. In doing this we arrive at our appointment FULL OF LOVE and PEACE rather than being anxious and pissed off.

1. We don’t live the Life we deserve, we live the Life we THINK we deserve…

2. There is no reason not to follow your Heart. ~ Steve Jobs

3. “Anger cannot be overcome by anger. If someone is angry with you, and you show anger in return, the result is a disaster. On the other hand, if you control your anger and show its opposite – love, compassion, tolerance and patience – not only will you remain peaceful, but the other person’s anger will also diminish.” ~ Gautama Buddha

4. Unmasking Truth: All judgments, opinions, interpretations disguise the truth. They are all forms of trespass. As long as you are judging someone, you cannot see the truth about that person. What you see is just a mask. Only when you take your own mask off can you see behind the masks others wear. That’s when you see who people really are. That is when you see others as God sees you. ~ Paul Ferrini

5. Much of the disharmony in relationship can be attributed to our belief in objectivity—the notion that we experience other people the way they really are. When we believe in objectivity, we have difficulty seeing that our thoughts, emotions, and sensations paint others in a way that is unique to us. Our views of other people are shaped by our memories, personal histories, cultures, worldviews, and psychological and emotional traits, along with various other influences. We don’t see others the way they are. We see them the way we are. ~ Scott Kiloby
