Review and Renew With Gratitude:

No matter what my current reality is – no matter how frustrating, painful, threatening or terrifying it is in the moment – there is one thing I know I can count on: THE MAJORITY OF LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND WORKS. My problem, and I’m sure this happens to others, is that in times of perceived trouble, I don;t always see the beauty. It’s not that it isn’t there, it’s just that I don’t see through the morass of my own reality to the underlying perfection that always resides.

It amazes me how situation-centric and myopic I can be about distressing things; how I can sit in the midst of beauty and focus entirely as what I view as uncomfortable. Even as I write this, an issue in my life is weighing heavily on me, and I know that if I intend to live aware and grateful, I must take steps to right this situation. This does not mean I need to fix it, rectify it or reason through it (although all of those things will eventually be required). What it means is that I need to put it into perspective with everything else. The sun still shines, the leaves are budding, I am healthy and vibrant, my life is good and at times such as these, it is an absolute necessity to bring my focus to the whole of my life and not just one isolated circumstance.

Now is the time to review and renew that old mantra I was taught as a child to use as a tool. Now is the time to “STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN.” Stop obsessing on a situation, stop justifying my stance, stop replaying it over and over and stop complaining about it. Look around. Look at the beauty, the vibrancy, the abundance, the light. And listen – listen to that inner voice that calls forward the gift of life, being and joy. Love, peace, beauty, energy, abundance and light surround me and await my recognition of it. Suddenly the situation – whether health, wealth, creative expression or relationship – takes on the proportion it deserves instead of the bulk I have bestowed upon it. Suddenly life is filled yet again with beauty. The situation did not change; my perspective changed, and my perspective is what creates the quality of my life experience. BLESSINGS. ~Dr. Kenn Gordon ~ Science of Mind

Are you at Peace?

When you are firmly committed to your inner journey, where you go outwardly becomes irrelevant. The real journey is the journey to peace within your own heart. The only question that can be asked on the inward journey is “are you at peace?”

If you are not at peace, then you have identified with something outside of yourself. Peace is always there. It seems to disappear only because you turn your attention elsewhere. ~ Paul Ferrini

Peace of mind is an “internal matter”. The problem is that most of the time we think it results from the outer world meeting our needs. ~ ~ ~ Ken Wapnick

1. Practice entering today without yesterday’s stories.

2. Just like a sunbeam can’t separate itself from the sun, and a wave can’t separate itself from the ocean, we can’t separate ourselves from one another. We are all part of a vast sea of Love, one indivisible divine mind. ~ Marianne Williamson  (ONE “Oneness” IS NOT and cannot be TWO)

3. If Love isn’t happening now: If love isn’t happening right now, it isn’t happening. It doesn’t matter how many Buddhas or Christs

have come before you. ~ Paul Ferrini

4. Peace is found in accepting what happens without resistance, while trusting that all is for our good. And along with this attitude of surrender and flow, one is still quietly mindful of listening for Guidance and following His lead – that compulsive, intuitive hit to do or say something.

5. How to tell if you are dead or alive: if you are fearful, unhappy or concerned for any reason, then you are dead. If peace, love, joy and light are in your awareness, then you are alive. Your function is to be about the business of raising the dead. Thanks Benny

1. “There is a morning inside you waiting to burst open into light.” ~ Rumi

2. “You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.” ~ Marianne Williamson

3. “Listening for Truth: You are responsible for what you believe, even if you choose to believe what others tell you. So don’t be afraid to question the authority of others. No one knows better than you do what you truly need.” ~ Paul Ferrini

4. “I have simply stopped arguing with reality. How do I know the wind should blow? It’s blowing. How do I know this is the highest order? It’s happening. Arguing with ‘what is’ is like teaching a cat to bark. It’s not very fulfilling. I am my friend and no longer confused. The way I know that reality is good is that when I argue the point I experience tension, fear and frustration. I lose – not sometimes, but 100% of the time. It just doesn’t feel natural inside: no balance, no connection. I want reality to change? Hopeless. Let me change my thinking. Some of us mentally argue with ‘what is.’ Others of us attempt to control and change ‘what is,’ and then tell ourselves and others that we actually had something to do with any apparent change that took place. This leaves no connection or room for God in my life. In the peaceful experience of no opposition to God, I remain aware of my nature: clear, vibrant, a friend, a listener. This is the time. This is the place. This is the vastness. Right here is paradise. Always. Always. Who cares if you’re enlightened forever? Can you just get it in this moment, now?”- Katie

5. Throw everything away, forget about it all. Relax a little bit, give life a chance to flow its own way, unassisted by your mind and effort. Stop directing the river’s flow! Actually, being what you are is the simplest. What is difficult is to stop being what you are not. Because we wish to keep hold of our attachments. Freedom is to be free of attachments and the main attachment is to the ‘I’-self. Leave your existence to existence, stop caring for yourself so much and let the Universe care for you; it is the best mother. There has to be some trust, not just belief, because trust is intimate… ~ Mooji

1. To seek people’s love and approval assumes that you aren’t whole. ~ Byron Katie

2. You say, “I want to be in the fire that burns the unreal.” Then I light the match and you say, “I’ll come back in a minute.” This is a very common reaction from the ego mind. Fears come the moment you choose freedom. To really choose freedom is a rare thing, so don’t be surprised.

Then what to do? Stay with choosing freedom. Say ‘yes’ inside your heart and keep quiet. Nothing can stop you from being what you are. Just let the ‘yes’ sink to the very bottom of your being.

Mind says, “Freedom will bring painful changes.” It is not a painful change; it is the most beautiful change. Something, in fact, stops changing and comes to rest in its unchanging root.

Welcome Shiva’s fire, Shiva’s fever, and come Home. Lucky you. Now see with the eyes of your Heart: I am not leaving anywhere. I am not going anywhere. I have never been anywhere. Everywhere— I am.  Confirm!~ Mooji

3. Nothing makes us less spiritual than spiritual competition…

4. Peace is found in accepting what happens without resistance, while trusting that all is for our good. And along with this attitude of surrender and flow one is still quietly mindful of listening for Guidance and following His lead – that compulsive, intuitive hit to do or say something.
