Review and Renew With Gratitude:

No matter what my current reality is – no matter how frustrating, painful, threatening or terrifying it is in the moment – there is one thing I know I can count on: THE MAJORITY OF LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND WORKS. My problem, and I’m sure this happens to others, is that in times of perceived trouble, I don;t always see the beauty. It’s not that it isn’t there, it’s just that I don’t see through the morass of my own reality to the underlying perfection that always resides.

It amazes me how situation-centric and myopic I can be about distressing things; how I can sit in the midst of beauty and focus entirely as what I view as uncomfortable. Even as I write this, an issue in my life is weighing heavily on me, and I know that if I intend to live aware and grateful, I must take steps to right this situation. This does not mean I need to fix it, rectify it or reason through it (although all of those things will eventually be required). What it means is that I need to put it into perspective with everything else. The sun still shines, the leaves are budding, I am healthy and vibrant, my life is good and at times such as these, it is an absolute necessity to bring my focus to the whole of my life and not just one isolated circumstance.

Now is the time to review and renew that old mantra I was taught as a child to use as a tool. Now is the time to “STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN.” Stop obsessing on a situation, stop justifying my stance, stop replaying it over and over and stop complaining about it. Look around. Look at the beauty, the vibrancy, the abundance, the light. And listen – listen to that inner voice that calls forward the gift of life, being and joy. Love, peace, beauty, energy, abundance and light surround me and await my recognition of it. Suddenly the situation – whether health, wealth, creative expression or relationship – takes on the proportion it deserves instead of the bulk I have bestowed upon it. Suddenly life is filled yet again with beauty. The situation did not change; my perspective changed, and my perspective is what creates the quality of my life experience. BLESSINGS. ~Dr. Kenn Gordon ~ Science of Mind

Thought for Today 11.12.14 November 12, 2014

Each moment, every meeting today brings with it the potential to remember who I am/ we are in Love, in God.

Every sigh of relief sounded today by anyone in the undoing of guilt or fear , releases me along with them.

Every gentle glance of kindness reminds me of the perfect love that made all that is or could ever be.

Every expression of gratitude I see or hear fills me with the recognition that all is given all the time.

Today , I remember and appreciate I am singing a song of Love to God with all my brothers and sisters everywhere , all the time. Now. ~ Thanks Russell

Thoughts and Quotes for Today 1.28.14 January 28, 2014

1. We simply do what is in front of us to do at any given time. We watch it all unfold without regrets or expectations – without trying to understand it, give it meaning, or judge it in any way. And regardless of what may seem to be happening, we abide in the peace of an awareness of our eternally changeless reality.

2. It’s not that bad things don’t seem to happen anymore. After enlightenment bad things still “seem” to happen. It’s just that we no longer judge whether it is good or bad, and so to us it is neither. We simply accept whatever seems to be happening knowing that nothing is happening, and we are not even the one it may seem to be happening to.

3. Do not judge another as being unworthy of love, for you are judging yourself. Do not compare or compete. Who are you comparing? Who are you competing against? There is only you. Be gentle, patient, kind and tolerant. Let your words reflect only mercy. Teach only love. See the perfection in another (the Christ) and you will find it in yourself.

4. Judgment is when I see in a way that would have me believe in what is not true – in a way that would have me withhold love.

5.  We are awake in the dream when we know that it is just dreaming and we are no longer deceived – we no longer give it meaning or judge it in any way. Awake enough to see glimmerings of light beyond the appearances and to feel the joy associated with our awareness of an inner radiance. Awake enough to be aware of Love.

6. We are manifesting things and experiences all of the time. That’s what dreamers do. But most of it is according to old default settings. Our fears, judgments, guilt and grievances have been a part of us for so long that we are not aware of what our minds are doing and manifesting. It takes some willingness and vigilance to become aware and to change – to choose Peace, Love and Gratitude each moment. Thanks Benny

1. If I am not grateful, I am confused. ~ Bryon Katie … Thanks Given is an ongoing daily Practice…

2. Close your eyes and imagine yourself living the life of your dreams. Now be very still and allow yourself to feel your inner self grow to fit that picture. Hold the image, and the feeling, for as long as you comfortably can. Consider it done. ~ Marianne Williamson

3. The beautiful gifts of gratitude begin at home, so today we invite a healing to happen in our own body, in our own consciousness, in our own loving heart that feels blessed to be alive.. Notice all the riches we’ve been given…  the feet that allow us to stand the legs, that allow we to walk, the stomach that allows us to eat, the lungs that allow us to breathe, the throat that allows us to speak, the mouth that allows us to taste, the nose that allows us to smell, the eyes that allow us to see and our beating heart that allows us to love… Honor them all…

Become present to the treasures of our life,  the opportunities that we have been given, the ones that have effortlessly opened up for us this year…. Reflect on our family, our kids, our partner, our friends… Look through appreciative eyes, the eyes of what’s right
the eyes of the divine… We give thanks in a way that we never have before…

Allow fear, doubt, struggle and pain to melt away in the presence of this all-loving appreciation.. We thank God/Creator/Source/Divine Love that we have a consciousness that is able to shift and transform in just a moment
Thank God that we are courageous enough to take a moment to bless our Self, to bless the Universe, to bless all those who Love and guide us and then to bless all of the world…

We send our tears of Love and Gratitude to those who are in pain, to those who are alone, to those who are confused.  We allow the heavenly vibration of Gratitude to puncture their fearful illusions and open up our hearts to what is truly divine…

Today, take this vow of deep self-Love and gratitude knowing that when we are in the presence of this kind of Love, WE – as well as all of those around us – will flourish…

Take five slow deep breaths, breathing in love, appreciation, gratitude and joy… Know that you are never alone and you will never be alone… We are all here surround with Love.

4. Gentler more loving dreams will come when the past has been forgiven and released – when the struggle to establish ones’ own worth and pursue separate interests has ceased – when Trust replaces all doubt and fear – and when Love, Peace and Gratitude  prevail in every moment. It is all a seeming outward picturing of an inward state of mind – all just dreaming. ~ Thanks Benny

1. Getting “Real” or “Genuine”  means I don’t have an image to maintain (no more image management). I don’t care about fitting in, and I don’t care what the popular opinion is of the society we live in. I live what feels “right” for me, even if it appears to be “weird”.

2. Life is not meant to be serious. Laughter is even more uplifting and healing than any form of prayer, meditation or chanting. ~ Anita Moorjani

3. There are many ways of seeing this work. One is to take 100% responsibility for all that happens.
If i do not KNOW that everything is FOR me, then that way of seeing invokes guilt: i am responsible, this sucks … ergo: i must be guilty…. a gentler way of seeing is to say that, yes, this happened, and yes, i think this sucks, AND somehow it must be for me (faith based position) so I have to keep looking at it with the help of the holy Spirit to see it differently. I have to power to interpret. who is the ‘i’ interpreting? the small ‘i’ ego self or the capital I higher Self? I will know whose opinion I asked by how i feel.

4. “Reason is powerless in the expression of Love.” ― Rumi

1. “The Work is not about shame and blame. It’s not about proving that you are the one in the wrong or forcing yourself to believe that someone else is in the right. The power of the turnaround lies in the discovery that everything you think you see on the outside is really a projection of your own mind. Everything is a mirror image of your own thinking. Once you have learned to go in for your own answers and opened yourself up to the turnarounds, you’ll experience this for yourself. In discovering the innocence of the person you judged, you’ll come to recognize your own innocence.” ~ Byron Katie

2. The limitless magnitude of the reality of our Self is an experience that is far greater and more real than the little, limited body/ego experience that is the temporal human condition. Understanding this is not necessary, but it is necessary that we experience it.

3. “Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, or worn. It is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace & gratitude.” – Denis Waitley

4. “There’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.” ~ Morpheus, The Matrix

1. All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about something by blaming him, but you won’t succeed in changing whatever it is about you that is making you unhappy. ~  Wayne Dyer

2. Today We Affirm:  I walk in gentle peace and gratitude today. There is nothing for me to fight against, nothing for me to strive after or to manipulate. I align myself with the heartbeat of the Great Mother Tao and allow myself to be carried downstream. I place the past, present and future in Her hands as I breathe in Love and breathe out kindness. Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my Life as I release everyone into Divine Care and entrust them to Source’s ministering Angels.

Today, miracles light my way on the gentle pathways of peace. May I be joyfully used by Love to brighten the world as I surrender into Love, Joy, Peace and Grace.

3. You are that which you are seeking. ~ St. Francis
4. If you think you’re free, there’s no escape possible. -Ram Dass …. Society sells an idea of what freedom is, what choices we have, and the right we have to make those choices, but it isn’t until I realize I am trapped in the cell of my own beliefs I will have taken my first step toward true freedom. Choose Again.

5. “We are like the little branch that quivers during a storm, doubting our strength and forgetting we are the tree—deeply rooted to withstand all life’s upheavals.” ~ Dodinsky
