Review and Renew With Gratitude:

No matter what my current reality is – no matter how frustrating, painful, threatening or terrifying it is in the moment – there is one thing I know I can count on: THE MAJORITY OF LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND WORKS. My problem, and I’m sure this happens to others, is that in times of perceived trouble, I don;t always see the beauty. It’s not that it isn’t there, it’s just that I don’t see through the morass of my own reality to the underlying perfection that always resides.

It amazes me how situation-centric and myopic I can be about distressing things; how I can sit in the midst of beauty and focus entirely as what I view as uncomfortable. Even as I write this, an issue in my life is weighing heavily on me, and I know that if I intend to live aware and grateful, I must take steps to right this situation. This does not mean I need to fix it, rectify it or reason through it (although all of those things will eventually be required). What it means is that I need to put it into perspective with everything else. The sun still shines, the leaves are budding, I am healthy and vibrant, my life is good and at times such as these, it is an absolute necessity to bring my focus to the whole of my life and not just one isolated circumstance.

Now is the time to review and renew that old mantra I was taught as a child to use as a tool. Now is the time to “STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN.” Stop obsessing on a situation, stop justifying my stance, stop replaying it over and over and stop complaining about it. Look around. Look at the beauty, the vibrancy, the abundance, the light. And listen – listen to that inner voice that calls forward the gift of life, being and joy. Love, peace, beauty, energy, abundance and light surround me and await my recognition of it. Suddenly the situation – whether health, wealth, creative expression or relationship – takes on the proportion it deserves instead of the bulk I have bestowed upon it. Suddenly life is filled yet again with beauty. The situation did not change; my perspective changed, and my perspective is what creates the quality of my life experience. BLESSINGS. ~Dr. Kenn Gordon ~ Science of Mind

1. “Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.”  ~ Judy Blume

2. Plant the seeds of intentions, nourish them with tender loving care and they will soon manifest in abundance…

3. We Affirm: Today I am going with the flow of good. I relax into the Divine Presence where I receive Guidance and direction from an Infinitely  Loving Source. I release all resistance and allow this day to unfold before me, knowing that the Universe is a friendly loving space of infinite potential for good. There is nothing to resist, nothing to make happen. I am cooperating with the Divine Will, which is that I become happier with each passing day. I pay attention to the beauty all around me and consider each a gift from Life to me.  I am blessed. I am grateful. I am loved. ~ Jacob Glass

4. We’ve all experienced trauma because we exaggerated a problem rather than calmly let our inner wisdom guide us. We’re only an impulsive thought away from a flurry of problems. Likewise, we’re only an instant away from peace and enlightenment. The quiet mind will be ever present if that’s our wish.

5. The mind sees only the past when choosing to define each situation by what it thinks to know. Fresh vision arises only from an unlimited awareness. Thanks Pamela

1. I am grateful for this day. Looking through the eyes of Love, all I see is the power and grace of Love. No matter the circumstances, I choose Love. For this, I am Grateful. ~ Eugene D. Holden

2. “To me, the whole of Life is holy (Wholly). All that exists is Holy, unconditionally Holy. I don’t have any condemnation for anything.” OSHO

3. “May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being, may you walk through the world, and know its beauty all the days of your life.” Apache Blessing

4. “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” – Rainer Maria Rilke

1. To undo one belief is to undo thousands of years of time. ~ Byron Katie

2. How I wish to see any situation often becomes what I see. It is either with the mind of Love, or I allow fear to lead me.  We are always giving meaning to the world we see…

3. While I do what I LOVE, financial abundance flows through me.

4. Our teacher will meet us wherever we think we are and set the bar a reachable distance above that point. More often than not our greatest teacher is our daily life.

1. Whatever happens to you, don’t fall in despair. Even if all the doors are closed, a secret path will be there for you that no one knows. You can’t see it yet but so many paradises are at the end of this path. Be grateful! It is easy to thank after obtaining what you want, thank before having what you want. ~ Shams Tabrizi

2. Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Lao Tzu and other great spiritual teachers did not die thousands of years ago. If we resonate with their teachings, then they live with us today, in our hearts and minds and in the holy places where we meet. ~  Paul Ferrini

3. No matter how enlightened I may think I am there is no escape from problems while seeming to be here (in a world of separation and death). But I can step back from identifying with the one who seems to have problems. That one is not me. I am the witness who rests in peace without judging, giving meaning, or being affected by any of it.

4. Q: If I am free, why am I in a body?

M: You are not in the body, the body is in you! The mind is in you. They happen to you. They are there because you find them interesting.

Your very nature has the infinite capacity to enjoy. It is full of zest and affection. It sheds its radiance on all that comes within its focus of awareness and nothing is excluded. It does not know evil nor ugliness, it hopes, it trusts, it loves.

You people do not know how much you miss by not knowing your own true self.

You are neither the body nor the mind, neither the fuel nor the fire. They appear and disappear according to their own laws.

1. My best days, my best work, my best play, my best love, my best joy are all still ahead of me. And this is so for anyone who says so. ~ Thanks Jacob

2. True healing occurs when I let go of the need to be healed and trust and enjoy the ride that is Life. ~ Anita Moorjani

3. “You undertook, together, to invite the Holy Spirit into your relationship. He could not have entered otherwise. Although you may have made many mistakes since then, you have also made enormous efforts to help Him do His work. And He has not been  lacking in appreciation for all you have done for Him. Nor does He see the mistakes at all. Have you been similarly grateful to your brother? Have you consistently appreciated the good efforts, and overlooked mistakes? Or has your appreciation flickered and grown dim in what seemed to be the light of the mistakes? Perhaps you are now entering upon a campaign to blame him for the discomfort of the situation in which you find yourself. And by this lack of thanks and gratitude you make yourself unable to express the holy instant, and thus lose sight of it.” – A Course in Miracles

4. Rather than focus today on the tragedy which happened to our country 12 years ago, let us rediscover the Love and forgiveness which can happen each day across the world.
