1. Surrender: You can’t have control if you want to live a life of Spirit. Spirituality requires surrender. You aren’t asked to surrender to someone else, nor are you asked to capitulate to your own ego. You are asked to surrender to the River that lies within you. The River is in charge. Your only choice is to fight its authority (an exhausting choice) or to accept it. Some people figure out right away
that surrender is inevitable. For others, it takes years. ~ Paul Ferrini

2. “Our life is what our thoughts make it.”-Marcus Aurelius

3. This is a hospital where we have come to be healed of a mental illness called split mind (the idea of separation). We are here only for our healing. This is a school where we have come to learn and to undo the idea that we are a thing that we are not. We are here only to learn, and lessons are repeated over and over until we learn the Truth. And it is the Truth that will set US free.

4. If I defend myself I am attacked. By planning for the defense of a self that I am not, I are attacking the Self that I AM. And if I feel defensive about anything I have identified with a self that I am not.

The ego would convince us that we are a thing that we are not. In fact, the ego is the thing that I believe I am (which I am not).

1. Those who Shine from within do not need a spotlight.

2. “If you just get out of your own way… It is amazing what will come to you.” ~ Laird Hamilton

3. The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind. ~ Wayne Dyer

4. Now, for all of you that would like to quicken and hasten that process [of awakening], the answer is very simple. Spend more time becoming self-observant, less time being concerned with what is going on in the world, and no time blaming the world for your state of being … not parents, not society, not God, but owning. ~ The Way of Mastery

5. Today We Affirm:  I do not have to make anything work today. I do not have to make anything happen. I do not need to prevent anything. There is nothing I need to seek or earn. There is a Power in being present and in relaxing all my defenses and aggression. I do not wish to fight or rage against the tides of change. Instead, I choose to be happy and free in my now. I can be a positive influence today by standing in my own Center of Truth, Peace and Joy. In this State, I always have whatever I need. In this defenselessess, my safety, peace and success abide. From this place will come my strength and I will be guided with every breath I take. ~ Jacob Glass

1. Honestly finally, “our stories are out least interesting things about us” ~ Mooji

2. The Road to Nowhere: There is a road going by, but you don’t know where it is going. You don’t know whether to go right or left, or whether to stay where you are. You don’t know. Sooner or later, out of boredom no doubt, you will make a choice. You will go right or left. And you will get excited thinking that you have made the right decision until you come to difficult terrain, and then you will be convinced that you went the wrong way.

This will happen whether you go right or left. It makes no difference. On the Road to Nowhere, it does not matter which way you go, because the road is circular and eventually returns to the same place. On the Road to Nowhere, the question is not “where are you going?” because you aren’t going anywhere in particular.

The question is “how are you going?.
Are you enjoying the journey?”
Are you going happily or sadly?
Are you going blessing or cursing the people you pass along the way?

On the Road to Nowhere the destination is not so important.
The only thing that is important is your state of consciousness. ~ Everyday Wisdom, Paul Ferrini

3. If you defend yourself you are attacked. By planning for the defense of a self that you are not, you are attacking the Self that you are. And if you feel defensive about anything you have identified with a self that you are not. ~ A Course In Miracles

4. One day the Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. “You have no right teaching others,” he shouted. “You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake!”

The Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man, “Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?”
The young man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, “It would belong to me, because I bought the gift.”

The Buddha smiled and said, “That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself.”
