1. Lack of communication pivots on the inability to clearly listen…. (the ability to listen is 90% of all communication, try pausing and then repeat back what you heard, ask if that is what they said, if not, ask them to repeat it or for clarity)
2. “Our purpose is not to change the world or its people, but only the way we perceive them … ‘Nothing external alters.’ …” – Kenneth Wapnick, Journey Through The Manual of ACIM, p. 88
3. You do not realize how much you have misused your brothers by seeing them as sources of ego support. As a result, they witness to the ego in your perception, and seem to provide reasons for not letting it go. Yet they are far stronger and much more compelling witnesses for the Holy (Wholly) Spirit. And they support His strength. It is, therefore, your choice whether they support the ego or the Holy Spirit in you.(15-II-4)
You can use, or misuse, your relationship with your brother. You have a choice. What is the goal you would achieve? You can lose yourself, or you can find your Self. You can use your brother to support your ego and the idea of separation, or you can let go and allow your relationship to lead you to experience the union of Spirit, and the wholeness of your reality.
4. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” — from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
