Thoughts and Quotes for Today 5.31.13 May 31, 2013

1. “The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself.”― Mark Twain

2. “Then Universe is not outside you…. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already ARE.” ~ Rumi

3. Relationship as a Spiritual Path:  One of the paradoxes of relationship is that we give our power away to others in order to learn to honor ourselves more completely. We become co-dependent with others in order to learn how to have better boundaries. We blame others so that we can learn to be gentle with ourselves and forgive our own mistakes. It is all a set-up.
We look for love and happiness through others to learn that we can find love and happiness only in our own hearts and minds.

Being in a relationship helps us learn to stand alone. The “We” is an incubator for the “I,” or true Self. When the true Self is actualized by both people, the spiritual purpose of the partnership is fulfilled. ~ Everyday Wisdom by Paul Ferrini

4. Can you love someone who does not need you, or do you need to be needed? All that need business is just body/ego stuff. There is nothing enlightened about it. On the other hand, the joy of heaven is increased when two or more are aware of the love that each already has and is, and they come together to share that love. It is not about need. It is about sharing and joining in the love that is already in the awareness of each. Thanks Benny

1. “Spare yourself from seeking love, approval, or appreciation—from anyone. And watch what happens in reality, just for fun.” – Katie

2. Our wishes and desires have our mind wandering off in the future. What we really want is here and now.

3. Problems are not caused by the the world; but, from our thoughts about the world. ~ Pamela

4. As we begin to recognize the Love that we ARE, we approve and appreciate our Self, we no longer connect with the lack of trying to find someone else to do that for us. When we look “within”, instead of looking “outward”, our connection with Source deeply invites us to live the Love that we ARE in every given moment. It is beautiful.

Following your bliss is not self-indulgent, but vital; your whole physical system knows that this is the way to be alive in this world and the way to give to the world the very best that you have to offer. There IS a track just waiting for each of us and once on it, doors will open that were not open before and would not open for anyone else. – Joseph Campbell

There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. 1. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life. ~ John Lennon

Our function here is healing – the healing of our mind. And minds are joined, so when we are healed we are not healed alone. There is no greater gift that we can give or service that we can render than the healing of our mind – the removal of all of the blocks to the awareness of the love that we ARE.  ~ Thanks Benny

The world is an illusion, and the plan is to disillusion us. All of our idols will fall. Even the you that you think you are is constantly being undone – the athlete gets old and frail – the parent loses children to growth and independence – the executive burns out or gets fired, and the spiritual seeker gets tired of not finding. When it is all finally undone we will know and see and be the changeless wholeness of reality. We will SEE with eyes of Love…

1. It is too easy to value what is valueless when you believe who you are is what you see.

2. Don’t buy your own bullshit… Listen for the Truth.. “We believe all sorts of things that the mind tells us and get deluded into thinking that what exists does not exist and that what does not exist exists. Do not believe the mind but enter the Heart.” – ~Ramana Maharshi

3. It is always “okay” to ASK; yet Peace does not demand and never expect to receive…

4. It’s our own thoughts that hold the key to miraculous transformation…

1. To make a difference in someone’s Life, you don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful, or perfect. BEing YOU (the Truth of You) is all that is required… We show up in our Authenticity and they get to SEE themselves through our eyes… as do we see ourselves through them…

2. “When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself.” ~ A Course in Miracles

3. Until we see love as the meaning of life, life seems to have no meaning at all. The sense of meaninglessness produces chaos, and the chaos produces fear.

There is only one way out of this, and that is to see every moment and every situation as an invitation to love. Marianne Williamson

4. No one saves us but ourselves. No one can. And no one may. We ourselves must walk the path. ~ Gautama Buddha

1. Once we realize we don’t have a life, we ARE Life. It is literally Impossible to ever make a mistake, there are no accidents. There is simply no way to ever do it wrong!!

2. It was one of those days, and I said ‘I so desperately want to live in a world that’s at peace’. ‘You already live there’, he said. ‘What do you mean?’  Sssshhh… Listen. Do you hear it? he asked. ‘That’s you. And that’s where you live. ~ Aimee

3. I don’t let go of concepts—I question them. Then they let go of me. ~ Byron Katie

4. You are in the perfect place and time.

The moment you realize that the Universe cannot ever make a mistake, you’ll understand how you are always in the perfect place, at the perfect time.

When you stop trying to get somewhere “better” than this moment of your life, you will arrive in Heaven on Earth. You have been searching and seeking for lifetimes and you are exhausted!  It’s time to let go of all this striving and simply relax into this final  destination you deserve.

A feeling of bliss, immense joy, and everlasting peace will instantly arise within you when you truly rest inside and let your mind take a vacation from the search. The moment you have fully accepted perfection is your natural state, then everything on your “to do” list  becomes an adventure in discovering the Divine within. It’s good to know it is always available inside you now.

Take this day to relax and explore into your “imperfections” until you see how they are all the necessary ingredients to seeing the absolute divine perfection that is within you now.

1. We don’t live the Life we deserve, we live the Life we THINK we deserve…

2. There is no reason not to follow your Heart. ~ Steve Jobs

3. “Anger cannot be overcome by anger. If someone is angry with you, and you show anger in return, the result is a disaster. On the other hand, if you control your anger and show its opposite – love, compassion, tolerance and patience – not only will you remain peaceful, but the other person’s anger will also diminish.” ~ Gautama Buddha

4. Unmasking Truth: All judgments, opinions, interpretations disguise the truth. They are all forms of trespass. As long as you are judging someone, you cannot see the truth about that person. What you see is just a mask. Only when you take your own mask off can you see behind the masks others wear. That’s when you see who people really are. That is when you see others as God sees you. ~ Paul Ferrini

5. Much of the disharmony in relationship can be attributed to our belief in objectivity—the notion that we experience other people the way they really are. When we believe in objectivity, we have difficulty seeing that our thoughts, emotions, and sensations paint others in a way that is unique to us. Our views of other people are shaped by our memories, personal histories, cultures, worldviews, and psychological and emotional traits, along with various other influences. We don’t see others the way they are. We see them the way we are. ~ Scott Kiloby
