1. Thoughts aren’t personal. They just appear, like raindrops. Would you argue with a raindrop? ~ Byron Katie
2. There is nothing wrong with you by Jacob Glass
My husband Jacob and I are on a life-long honeymoon now and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to truly live in the peace and joy that the Course is forever guiding us to. Though we all have lessons to learn and our behavior is far from perfect, we remain forever the blessed precious children of God and trying to fix, change, guilt and manipulate ourselves into being what we think we are “supposed” to be is 100% hopeless!
Self-acceptance is the road to true and lasting change, if change is even necessary. Only the Divine Presence within us can truly change us. As the New Year approaches, too many people try to hit the ground running with ridiculous plans of “self-improvment” that are based on a current self-hatred and condemnation. Remember, the life of Spirit is not necessarily one in which we do different things, but we do things differently.
Therefore, if you have changes you want to make in 2013, I suggest you do them from a place of LOVE and self-acceptance rather than from a place of disgust, or fear, or being fed up. Make friends with yourself if you have not already – and then, marry yourself because you will be with you FOREVER. Might as well make peace with your eternal mate and start ENJOYING the company rather than constantly trying to “improve” what God already created as perfect.
