1. “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” ~ Buddha
2. What do you value? What is important to you? Where do you look to find your happiness? Simply take an honest look at what you do with your spare time and energy. (Think about what you are thinking about) That is what is important to you. That is where you look to find happiness. What you do attests to what you believe. Actions speak louder than words. What is important to you? Is what you do in alignment with what you say?
3. Ever look around at all the stuff you have and feel empty? Go to shows that used to thrill you and feel flat? Throw party or go to parties and end up feeling blue? Hook up with the hot guy or girl and feel meh? Good! That is our Soul/Spirit calling us IN deeper… to the Truth of our ever-expanding, never-boring, ecstatic Self. We can have all the pretty toys and tricks, pony shows and kicks our little egoic mind desires and it will never quench the thirst of the Soul’s longing to remember itself. Often, in this culture, we run to a doctor, a catalog, or another stimulant looking for that next high or low when each of us carry a whole natural pharmacy of healing remedies inside. When we stop chasing the external, sit still and quiet long enough, and are sincere enough in our desire… eventually, we will hear the voice of our own broken heart calling us back home again to our original Self, the Self that needs nothing outside to feel happy, grateful or alive. Sit. Weep. Pray ♥ You, of all people, deserve your own pure and holy/Wholly Love
4. “Children perceive terrifying ghosts and monsters and dragons, and they are terrified. but if they ask someone they trust for the REAL meaning of what they perceive, and are willing to LET THEIR INTERPRETATIONS GO in favor of Reality, their fear goes with them. When a child is helped to translate his “ghost” into a curtain, his “monster” into a shadow, and his “dragon” into a dream, he is no longer afraid, and laughs happily at his own fear. You, my children, are afraid of your Brothers, and of your Father, and of yourselves. But you are merely deceived in them.
Ask what they are of the Teacher of Reality, and hearing His answer, you too will laugh at your fears and replace them with Peace. For fear lies not in Reality, but in the minds of children who do not understand reality. It is only their lack of understanding that frightens them, and when they learn to perceive truly they are not afraid.” ~ Foundation for Inner Peace…
